What's New??

So, I was sick from the Friday before 4th of July (that was the 2nd) until last weekend. I ran fever for days...and I'm not a fan of being hot to begin with so when I can't do anything about it, well, it just plain sucks!

Okay, so enough about the moaning and groaning about being sick. One good thing to come of it was that I lost 10 pounds in a week. I can only imagine how much I'd lose if I was on Survivor! And the BEST thing to come of it was that the hubster bought me a new "fancy Dan" camera. I'd been lusting after a digital SLR for years and had been looking online at photos and reviews for the last several months. But while I was sick, K thought it would be a nice get well surprise. I am so excited to go out and shoot again...it's been years. I've forgotten everything I used to know about ISO and f-stops and ...

Nikon D-90, you and me are gonna be inseparable!

I have a fancy SLR too - do you already know how to use it? I am in the process of learning... but I really should be doing homework for school. In fact, dont tell George I was on here reading blogs - I am suppose to be working on class stuff :P

I used to shoot back in the day, but it may as well have been when you still had to hold the flash on a pole and put your head under the little curtain behind the lens! LOL I'm just getting to know about all the little readings and extras on this camera, but it's been fun experimenting. And don't worry...I won't tattle on ya...sometimes a little break keeps you sane! Good luck with the homework!

Does this really matter? Who reads this anyway? Seriously. Okay, fine. I'm probably the only Poli-pino you'll ever meet and I: like to cook up a good meal (but if given the choice I'd rather eat out); watch TV and films from here and there; love to laugh and try to do it often; hate to cry but end up doing so...and often; believe we ALL make a difference to SOMEONE at SOME POINT; love long walks on the beach, it's cheesy, I know, but I do love them especially with my family; wish I was as erudite as Stephen Fry, as cleverly comedic as (too many to name here) and as oblivious as Mr. Bean. Obviously I could go on...that's why I started the blog!
