Can you dig, yo? - Day 2

Ok, so...Ike caused a bit of delay in our dig schedule. While Central, Southern and Coastal Texas waited to see what Hurricane Ike was going to do, our bulldozer broke down in the "evacuation" traffic. So they had to wait for repairs...and then they had to wait for the transport crew to bring it up here which essentially pushed digging back to Monday.

It finally gets here Monday...just to break down again. Now we're looking to dig on Tuesday. Repairs were done Tuesday morning and late that afternoon we finally broke ground!

Once they started, it was pretty quick work turning out backyard into a mess!

That small mound of dirt quickly became...

THIS!

The pool is really taking shape!

I can already see myself sitting here in the hot tub...now, where are the beverages?

Does this really matter? Who reads this anyway? Seriously. Okay, fine. I'm probably the only Poli-pino you'll ever meet and I: like to cook up a good meal (but if given the choice I'd rather eat out); watch TV and films from here and there; love to laugh and try to do it often; hate to cry but end up doing so...and often; believe we ALL make a difference to SOMEONE at SOME POINT; love long walks on the beach, it's cheesy, I know, but I do love them especially with my family; wish I was as erudite as Stephen Fry, as cleverly comedic as (too many to name here) and as oblivious as Mr. Bean. Obviously I could go on...that's why I started the blog!
