Saying Goodbye to Summer...Hello Autumn!

I love our backyard. I love the fact that we can transport ourselves away from all the stresses of the week by just stepping out the backdoor.
Especially on a warm late summer's evening. With a little music, great company, good food, and a little bevvy in hand I am happy to while away the evenings in my backyard.
I love that our friend is willing to get on a scuba tank and weights, in order to scrape away and thereby help us rid our pool of some salt deposits. A bit random, I know. It's even better when such friends bring over steaks to grill, too! (I did make the rest of the dinner, but Kerry served as Grill Master that night.)

Here's Barbara, my mother-in-law, watching the events poolside...Scuba Kerry, Paparazzo Jim and Super-Waterdog Bow. Do you see my dog in the pool? This is when he's happiest.

Barbara and Jim FINALLY enjoying the hot tub. What a shame that it wasn't ready for them to enjoy last year. They were only here during the construction, it wasn't quite ready for a dip then, but believe me when I say it didn't take a lot of coaxing to get them in there this year!
Bubbles and beverages! Ahhhhh...

Since this was our last summer "pool" party of this year, I guess we should toast the Autumn now!

Does this really matter? Who reads this anyway? Seriously. Okay, fine. I'm probably the only Poli-pino you'll ever meet and I: like to cook up a good meal (but if given the choice I'd rather eat out); watch TV and films from here and there; love to laugh and try to do it often; hate to cry but end up doing so...and often; believe we ALL make a difference to SOMEONE at SOME POINT; love long walks on the beach, it's cheesy, I know, but I do love them especially with my family; wish I was as erudite as Stephen Fry, as cleverly comedic as (too many to name here) and as oblivious as Mr. Bean. Obviously I could go on...that's why I started the blog!
